    Good day everyone

So I really need assistance on this problem I have please:
The problem I'm having is that I am doing a personal blu-ray for myself from a DVD widescreen source.. I have used the following filters:
    BCC Correct Selected Color
BCC Noise Reducer with YCrCb sharpness

I'm receiving great quality on it no doubt.. I experimented with using DVB Mpeg 2.. But it seems the filters weren't working on this well.. So I took too H264 to help.. And everything is working very well.. Now I noticed this problem which seem to have made the Mpeg 2 a pain in the head also does the same with h264.. Whether I did an h264 blu-ray avc encode or image sequence.. But Vegas seems to hang up and crash.. Is there anything that's wrong?.. Any suggestions?.. And alternate program I can use that can use BCC properly?.. Please please I really need your help.. Cause when I do another one.. I don't want the same problem again..

    Thank you in advance

did you try setting the encoder to use the cpu only? gpu encoding can't be used for lots of stuff.

Will something like after effects or Premiere Pro help as well..? Or will it have the same problem because of BCC?

usually the only other things that will crash v12 are a bad source file, bad ram or an overheating cpu.

maybe convert to sony lossless yuv first using it as source and then try color correcting that.

try watching your temps with something like cpuid hardware monitor.

    Sony YUV is uncompressed right?

For a video that's approx. 1hr 25min.. How big would your estimation file size be?

As you can see by my specs of my laptop.. I forgot to mention its a laptop.. Will cooling down the cpu with a fan help..? I've tried that before and it used to work nicely.. But now I'm not so sure.. Would you mind giving me a list of recommended formats I can try..?

And the worse part is: the movie is split at scenes

i'd try vacuuming out the air vents and make sure the external fan is blowing the right way.

sony yuv is about 7GB a minute. there are other lossless codecs like ut that compress a bit more at about 2GB a minute. a laptop probably needs firewire or usb 3 external hard drives.

and a core 2 duo is kinda slow for editing.

Vacuuming..? Never ever tried that before but definitely will give it a try.. Yeah about the processor I have to agree on that with you man.. This is the first time its giving me problems which is new for me.. External drives is what I'm limited on so that's the only downfall I have.. This more or less happened since I installed Boris Continuum Complete.. But now I've grown so attached to it that I don't really want to stop using it.. Its so much better than NewBlueFX

Lol I tried that now and it was switched off of course haha.. I use an aircooler which looks like a portable aircon.. And that used to keep the laptop really cool..

proxy files will speed up editing but when it comes to encoding they are no help, the original sources are used. if it would not encode before it won't using proxies either.

Thank you to both of you for help.. really appreciate it.. So now I think my only solution of having limits as seen above.. Maybe the fan idea so the CPU doesn't overheat may just work

If its a file format problem it won't be able to make the proxy.

Hey guys, I seem to be having the same problem again, I forgot to mention that I am using the 64-bit version of BCC, could this be the problem? shall I do the 32-bit Version instead?

    Vegas 12 is 64 bit.

So vacuuming out the vents didn't help? Did you try a Swiffer instead? I think somebody's been pullin your chain. hehehe.

No doubt the vacuuming did help cause I saw the fluff leave.. And I used a fan to keep it cool but I have no clue what went wrong sadly ..
