  1. I recently recorded a video file with my camcorder in AVI format for about 20-30 mins.
The file size is around 11mb and i transferred it over to my laptop to save.
However when i tried to play with VLC player, it only showed me around 30 seconds of the video.

Kind of impossible since my camcorder's quality is quite bad and a 30 seconds video would only be like a few hundred KB.
So i'm just wondering where the rest of the video has gone to? Is it lost forever?

I've tried many video fixing software like all video fixer, rescue pro, video fixer, digital video repair, file repair, avi previewer, fix player, avi fixer, etc.. BASICALLY EVERYTHING but i always seem to get just that 30 seconds of the video after it's fixed ... how?

use mediainfo on the file. most cams record would record 11mb in a single second. if you mean 11MB then more like 10 seconds so the file is probably correct as it plays.

You can post a mediainfo report of your video. But......

However bad your quality you should NEVER get 30 mins of video in 11 meg. 30 seconds is much more logical.
