  3. Are you using 2 pass? if so, set it to single pass and try it again.

Thanks. The same thing happens under single pass. FFmpeg stops working right away. I think the issue is the particular version of FFmpeg not being able to decode the AAC audio portion of the file. In the assets panel, for audio it says "aac 48KHz 0Kbps" (note the zero). I tried transcoding the file with VLC media player and the audio came out jittery. The mpeg-4 file that I am using was produced with the Hauppage 1512 PVR. After initially getting this error, I tried installing a couple of codec packages (G-spot and K-lite) to see if that might help. What do you think might be the solution to this problem?

  7. I have had good luck with Avidemux to correct problems like this. Hopefully that might work properly for your audio conversion.

It's strange because SVCD2DVD was able to handle other mp4 files with AAC audio. I may just use VideoRedo to convert the files to mpeg-2, before authoring to DVD with SVCD2DVD & ImgBurn. VideoRedo does the job with these Hauppage PVR files, but takes longer than SVCD2DVD & FFmpeg did.
