Apologies if this has already been answered .. I have a strange issue in that some VHS tapes playback with what appears to be a 'fold' in the upper right of the frame. (see attachment) The tape appears to to be fine and the problem appears in several different players. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

That's called flagging or tearing. Sometimes Casued by macrovision. An S-VHS deck with line time base corrector might help. Or an external TBC.
