I have 3 mini dvs all recorded one after another. Tapes 1 & 3 are fine. On tape 2, only one-third of the screen shows. The left two-thirds of the screen is black, when played through a deck. When the tape is played through the original camera (Cannon GL2) the video still plays in the right third of the screen, but the two thirds on the left now has a still image of the first frame shot.
I'd be surprised if this is a clogged head issue, seeing how the mini tape used immediately after this was fine. I'm assuming it's just a bad tape. Does anyone have any leads to a way to extract a clean video off the tape?
