It seems that many of my clients (I imagine through referrals) are singers, and I'm having a real issue with recording audio.
Here is my issue: When trying to record them at events, I can't take a full camera with stand, so I end up using something like a flip. There seems to be something weird going on with the sound though, and I can't tell if it's from the flip (which I usually don't use) or from the sound system itself.
What are your thoughts? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_D2gtXdfJQ
Also, if it is the camera, are there any suggestions for small hand held devices that a) have great sound quality (over video even), and b) are more stable in grip (even with the snake extension, I feel like this is shaky)
Thanks much!
