I captured streaming video as AVI file using NCH Debut(Trial version).
The video plays a little jerky and video/audio is of poor quality. But the 19m21s AVI file size is huge - 4.9GB!
Converting with various converters have failed. AVIDEMUX converts to MKV but loses many frames in the process. While saving shows 0-1fps!
Converted file is more jerky.
What can be done?
The video is topical and thus important for me.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

Yes.
Also, record the result to a secondary hard disk, and use UNcompressed video and UNcompressed audio,
LATER you can edit and shrink both.
If that capture software doesn't offer you those options, then you'd better drop it.
