I have a one-minute video from my Windows phone stored on my PC. It's an mp4 file. I want to share it with distant family. It's only 82MB but my e-mail provider limits attached files to 25MB so I can't attach it to a message. I stored it on wikisend.com but can't locate instructions for watching it. I tried to store it on adrive.com but receive a cryptic error message.

I would store it on photobucket.com but my account there is almost full of photographs posted in various forum threads. If I remove any they will not be visible to the forum readers.

Is there an intuitive web site that offers secure free storage for relatively high resolution video?

the normal font here is good. no need to big/bold/italic. you could upload it to youtube. or get an account at a filesharing site like mega - https://mega.co.nz/

    Thanks for the rapid response.

I agree that the font is unusually large. It was like that when I first typed in the text area. So I highlighted what I had typed at that point and selected a size two down (size 2). As soon as I selected the size my highlighting went away. After a couple of more tries I decided that I didn't know the proper method and that font-sensitive readers would move on.

I'll pass on youtube for a variety of essentially personal reasons. As I understand it, mega.co.nz is Kim Dotcom's New Zealand based replacement for the previous megaupload file-sharing site. I believe that Dotcom (nice name) and six others from the defunct piracy site still face charges in the U.S. that include conspiracy to commit racketeering, conspiracy to commit copyright infringement, conspiracy to commit money laundering, copyright infringement, and wire fraud. Again, for personal reasons, I'll pass on that one.

mega is free, asks for no personal info and works. but google "filesharing host" for others if an alleged bad guy owner bothers you.

Then use Vimeo instead of Youtube.
And there are a lot of filehosters. (MediaFire, rapidshare etc)
Or use something like Dropbox or Skydrive, and share the Video for download.
    Infinite options...

Done. Thanks. That small file took an hour to upload. I think I need to reduce the file size and maybe make it a flash. I'll start looking for free software to do so. Any suggestions?

Upload speeds are always MUCH slower than download speeds. Next time just leave it run/upload overnight and spare your friends and family crappy, re-encoded flash crap.

Yeah, but 182kbps is still awfully slow as an upload speed unless one is still using modems! Sounds like there is still some technical problem on OP's end...

    I would 2nd dropbox, etc.

I just checked speeds with Cisco Network Magic. Download: 4,842 kbps, Upload: 155 kbps

Using Internet provider's speed check (cable modem)— Download: 4,374 kbps, Upload: 635 kbps

Internet provider is installing fiber all the way to house. They are fooling around with facilities and speed seems to be slow right now. They say that soon it will be 1 gigabit per second but I think the price will jump to $175 per month.

    Thanks for the advice.

How do I note this thread as solved?
