  1. Hi,
Hard to describe my problem but i will give a go!

Bascially i want to replace the main movie MPEG-TS file in the blu ray with an edited version. However when i use the edited ( in tmpgenc 5 )version the movie will not play in my blu ray player but of course all the extras still play file

So is there any software / trick that will make the blu ray play with the edited MPEG-TS file? So i can keep the original menu etc or do i need to make a brand new menu for the edited file

    Thanks!

  2. BDEdit can do it. But it's hard to come to grips with and I don't know of any tutorials. You might have a look at the BDEdit thread at Doom9.

    [EDIT]

Forgot about this one, but it's not terribly enlightening. It needs some examples:

  4. Maybe someone can suggest a payware alternative?

I think BDEdit is pretty much it for freeware.

    Good luck.

  5. No one else cares to comment?

A couple years ago I had a go at understanding BDEdit. I actually succeeded in replacing the main title in a BD and it was playable on a standalone. But I confess that until I go back and refresh my memory I wouldn't know how to guide you. As a rule I dislike menus on my own backups, except for episode discs. (I still use BDEdit if I want to replace a subtitle stream or turn one default on.)

I can tell you that if your menu is at all complicated (BDJ), it's gonna be harder.

OTOH, if you can do without a menu, then nothing could be easier. Take your edited title and mux it to Blu-Ray with tsMuxer.

    Good luck.
