How to record or capture silverlight .ism/manifest stream ?

You can't. Silverlight encryption has never been broken. That is why paid streaming video services like Netflix and Amazon use it. You can try recording the screen.

Another option to look into is if this has its own "app" on a settop like a game console you can capture that over analog. Use a component cable if it is playable on a xbox 360 or ps3 or other settop unit with component cables for the best possible picture. That SHOULD give you the best possible capture possibility. Still analog though and still requiring a realtime approach.

For record Netflix streams, use Mirillis Action + Favorite browser + Autosizer.

Autosizer will set correct resolution for browser, because its correct "border size" problem.

Hi, a little update. You can download IIS smooth streaming encoded with AVC1 with a modded version of ismdownloader (ismdownloaderAVC1). It works pretty well.

_b) In the address bar , enter the link for the web page , to see the video .
_c) After the video has began , put it in pause
_d) Try to see in the Web Console , a link with "manifest" ??? HERE IT'S THE MAJOR DIFFICULTY ???
_e) Copy "http://... .ism/manifest?__auth__=...f4880"
3) Open Notepad : Paste and Save in "X:\ISMdl\save.txt" , for security !!! .
4) Quit Firefox and re-run it

_b) You will save a file "manifest"

I have downloaded and run ismdownloader.exe [Ismdownloader AVC1 (mod by TFI)]

Also I created: C:\Users\msi\Desktop\ISMdl\Video and I have installed firefox addon "HDS Link Detector"
( https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/hds-link-detector/ )


From the Tutorial for "ismdownloader":
2) Run firefox
_a) Tools => Web Developper => Web Console , in the case "Filter" write "manifest" .


I got the following error:
manifest
ReferenceError: manifest is not defined


Where is the case "Filter" from => Web Console ( Ctrl + Shift + K)? , I don't know what I've done wrong...


FYI: I am using StreamTransport version 1.1.3.0

I am also using Firefox 30 (if this matters) and as per your guidelines, there is nothing to choose and download at the bar below. For instance, I tried this: http://www.livenews.com.cy/cgibin/hweb?-A=40471&-V=megatvvod

"StreamTransport" : Works for FLV , MP4 . Not for Flash's streams .
