when i play the .mov using vlc media player, there are few moments in the .mov that gives the error bad file descriptor then crashes the desktop and i had to close it. i have it pasted on the desktop and i cannot move the .mov, windows 7 gives the error cannot read source file from disk. i cannot edit it with any sort of video editing software because it will crash the desktop. i've been searching for methods to repair .mov for days now, i cannot find any solutions from google that does not require payment. but i can still watch the corrupted .mov using vlc media player, i just have to skip forward the parts that crashes the player, but i cannot watch it without having it crashing all the time, i cannot make a backup of the video etc...
tldr; minor damaged 57mins .mov recorded using iphone, video still playable but have to skip moment(s) that crashes the player (bad file descriptor), cannot edit vid with any software will crash the desktop (not responding), cannot copy/paste it (windows 7 says cannot read source file from disk)
