Virtual Dub Preview Mode

So i googled far and wide for a solution to this problem, however I could not find one. Forgive me if this is the wrong section to post this in, but here is my problem.

Whenever I try to just play my games using my Blackmagic Intensity Pro capture card on virtual dub in preview mode I only get 10 FPS. When I re size the window it goes back to 60 FPS as seen in the second picture. I'm thinking that it couldn't be my computer being too slow because it worked before just fine then I formatted, and it hasn't worked since. Here are my computer specs if you need them. Thanks for any and all help!

Explain how you did the os reinstall ?

Check your using current drivers for the motherboard and video chipset.
