  1. Ripping some Blu-Rays this week. Using Dvdfab with the same basic settings for each movie.

So why do some of my rips come out as one huge file, and some of them come out as a bunch of files?

The ones that rip as a bunch of smaller files are a lot tougher to compress in Handbrake. How do I make all of my rips come out in one big file?

I don't rip blurays often but from what I understand a movie can be spread across multiple .mpls files ( the files you are talking about ) just like a dvd can be spread across multiple vob files. This really depends on the disk and how the film company has decided to encode it, I have had movie that are one file as you speak and one that are 100. If I remember correctly in the blu ray directory that is ripped with dvd fab there will be a folder called playlists. These playlists, tell the player how these multiple mlps go back together and in what order. If I remember correctly imported the playlist into tsmuxer ( which is a muxing program ) this then pulled all the mpls files in order and allowed me to mux it into one file.
