  1. Hello all

I am new here. I searched the forum for a problem that I have but I could not find a specific answer, so I decided to start a thread about it. I hope this is ok...

The problem is that my subtitles flicker at the very first second when they appear on the screen. This is the procedure I follow:

    1) I start with ripping the DVD using DVD decrypter 3.5.4.0 to an .ISO file
    2) I use MakeMKV Beta 1.8.3 to create an .MKV file from the .ISO file. I only select the main movie and audio track, and the subtitles in my language
    3) I use MKV Converter Studio 2.4.8 to create an MP4 with burned-in subtitles from the .MKV file

The reason I do this last step (MKV to MP4) is because I play the movies on my TV over ethenet, and my TV can only play .MP4 files. As I cannot select the seperate subtitle file, I have to burn the subtitles directly into the movie...

Is there perhaps a possible solution to this problem?

    thank you very much all..

MKV Converter Studio is probably the problem. I doubt anyone here uses it....check if they have any support.

Or try something else like handbrake, it can burn in subtitles from dvds, under the subtitle tab be sure to choose Hard Burn/burn in.

I believe you can skip step 1 too. MakeMKV can decrypt DVDs, and allows you to choose what to keep:
