    Hello!

My first post so please help me

I'm trying to download from a couple of streaming sites but can't do it.

Where on this forum should I be looking?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey there Dusty Bin,
Just a tip for a newbie, the title of your thread should directly relate to your problem or question. "Greetings" doesn't do this.

On the top right of the screen is a Search box. Just typing in Download Streaming produced tons of results.
Start with that and if there's something you don't quite understand after doing a bit of research for yourself, THEN come back and ask.

OK, I've tried a couple of things, but no joy.

It seemed that most of the tools in the link provided above use Windows as an operating system rather than Mac, which I use predominantly.

I've borrowed a laptop that uses Windows 7 and tried the following:-

    RealPlayer
    RTMP DumpHelper
    TubeDigger
    VideoCache View

All (very) successfully allow me to download the commercials/adverts than run before the start of the programmes I'm wanting to download, but none of them let me save the programme video content itself...which is what I want to do!

Am I doing something wrong perhaps?

(I'm trying to download programmes from two on demand services based here in the UK. Don't know if I should disclose the names of the sites or not - one is a channel which is half the value of 10 and the other is a primarily satellite channel named after where you find clouds...or even Pie!)

    Please can you help?
