Why not just create a DTS CD? Your unit supports CD (CD-DA, DTS-CD, PC-Files [ISO 9660 file system only]). From what I understand, it takes a special process to embed the DTS track in a DVD so only certain DTS DVDs will play in a DTS certified player where all DTS CDs will play in any modern DVD player since it doesn't use that same special process. I have no idea what that special process is but it's probably an industry secret.

Perhaps I should have stated the obvious, that I only use LPCM 16/48.

This is a summary of an typical .wav I might input into Apollo:

    Audio
    Format : PCM
    Format settings, Endianness : Little
    Format settings, Sign : Signed
    Codec ID : 1
    Bit rate mode : Constant
    Bit rate : 1 536 Kbps
    Channel(s) : 2 channels
    Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz
    Bit depth : 16 bits

And this is a summary of the .VOB audio Apollo output:

    Audio
    ID : 189 (0xBD)-160 (0xA0)
    Format : PCM
    Format settings, Endianness : Big
    Format settings, Sign : Signed
    Muxing mode : DVD-Video
    Bit rate mode : Constant
    Bit rate : 1 536 Kbps
    Channel(s) : 2 channels
    Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz
    Bit depth : 16 bits

No change there. Guess you're right about Apollo choking on the LPCM 24/96, but I agree with Scott that the authoring support is probably lacking in all but expensive programs. Down sampling may be your only immediate choice if you want to go the DVD route. There is one other thing to consider: if your plan is to create a background image for each track/chapter, keep them simple designs because with LPCM 24/96 and even a moderate sized .jpg you may well exceed 11000 Kb/s which is above the limit of the DVD standard (total: 9848 Kb/s). It may appear to author perfectly well, but not play on your player. It's because of this I wont go higher than LPCM 16/48.

With the rate/depth you want combined with one of my photographs, my total bitrate would exceed 12500 Kb/s.

Not if you use Still-frame (I-frame-only) MPEGs, then your "video" bitrate is more like 1/20th the bitrate you would normally expect to see.

If you want more info on this, let me know.

    Hello all,

    Let's rewind a bit

Muxman takes the 24/96 files, it made a DVD for me with ALL the files and it was perfect....EXCEPT that all the files were put together in a single track and I want to have separate TRACKS (not chapters, TRACKS)

I did my first DVD with muxman alone, no gui no external program no NOTHING and it came out all right and plays all right but single TRACK...

So the original problem is that i want to split my DVD as "1 song = 1 track" and then I'll make a menu or whatever to access each track individually.

Thanks for the help, I think it's just a muxman setting but I can't find a guide for what I want to do with muxman....
