  1. I have a full version of womble's "mpeg video wizard dvd" version 4 editing software that I think I need to reinstall. When I go to the site I can only find a down load for version 5. I bought a serial key for version 4 a while ago and it works fine for me. I just can't find a download of the original install file. I guess I should have saved the original EXE but I always thought I would be able to re-download it later if I had a problem. I emailed support but they have not responded in over a week.

Looks like they don't make older versions of their software available. This is somewhat common. You'll have to see if you can search and find some place on the internet that still has version 4 available or you'll have to pay to upgrade to version 5 (you'll probably get a discount for having a version 4 key). Yes, you should have saved version 4 for this very reason. I keep my old downloads of software because Windows is a POS and sometimes you have to completely reinstall it and the software you run under it.

  3. I have found hacked and cracked versions but since I paid for a legal key I don't want to take the risks of installing from an unofficial source. I was hoping support could just set up a temporary downlaod for me but they won't respond.

I have version 4 and will be happy to get a copy to you (trial of course.) PM me and we'll talk. It's bought and paid for, not warez or cracked version.

Still have the original Zip file.
Not sure if your key will work though.

Womble is a pretty small operation (for all I know it may be a one man company). While I suppose they could just be ignoring you, can you try sending them email using a different domain name (this is what comes after the @ in your email address) than you used before? Maybe your email got marked as spam and they missed it or never even got it. As an example, hotmail addresses are treated by some email anti-spam programs with a default assumption that if it comes from hotmail, it's spam. Using a different email address could be helpful.

  7. I didn't think of the @hotmail problem. I resent it with a @comcast so I will see if it gets looked at.

Maybe some one has seen my problem before I try the reinstall. When doing the export and trying to burn to a dvd it always says "burn failed" as soon as I press the burn button. I did install a new burner but when I tried the trial ver5 it burned just fine. I thought something got screwed up in the burner replacement and that a re install of the software would reset everything.
