  1. OK, here is the problem. My daughter was in a competition and we purchased a dvd of her performance and the dvd we received from the video company has no audio...only video. They said they had a problem with the audio recording equipment. So, my question. Since I have the audio (song) she used, is there any way I can rip the video from the disc I purchased of her performance and then somehow add the audio to it and burn it back to dvd?

Crazy...I know...but what do you do?

Doing so is rather trivial, but getting the audio in the right format for DVD and of the right length for the video is something you'll have to do first. Then follow this guide:
    https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/277950-How-to-add-new-subtitles-to-an-existing-DVD
The guide tells people how to add extra subtitles to an existing DVD and keep the DVD's menus. Just skip the subtitle stuff and use the replacement audio track instead of the original one when you rebuild the DVD in that step in the guide.

Thanks! I will check it out.

  4. OK, I went to that link and I do not see anything about "replacement audio". Looks like the entire guide is on subtitle stuff.

The tutorial jman98 points to is what you have to start with.
You will have to demux DVD first.
Than read the part "Author to new DVD with Muxman". As he also mention, this is an easy part. Audio has to be compatible to DVD specs. Most likely AC3. To convert to AC3 you can use BeLight, free software.
If you are lucky the length of audio is same as video and video start right at beginning of performance when audio is starting, otherwise it will not match to frames.

Please stop recommending JUNK software in old threads/discussions. A "little bit" of knowledge is a dangerous thing.

Very first, why would anyone purchase or pay for defective products. Suing recodrding company is the way for you to be a millionaire, as recording company already confirmed defects in their audio recording equipment.

Since I have the audio (song) she used,
Give it to the recording company and ask to fix it, as you paid already.
