Question for you folks: I notice if you go to Google > Images, it allows you to upload an image to identify where or what a photo is. Is there some kind of corresponding tool on the Internet that allows you to identify audio clips or songs? Years ago I recorded a number of instrumental songs off the radio that I have no clue how to identify. Is there some way to use existing technology to search for the title and identify what the song is?

  2. iPhone app Shazam works. Don't know if there's an Android version.

I've seen a few other apps available for Android and iOS that claim to support music matching (one from Sony, I think), but can't remember their names, offhand..

If you're looking for a PC-based solution, you can try any of the clients that support comparing songs to what's in the database at http://musicbrainz.org/ (some of them are listed on that site).
