    here is my prob i have just encoded a movie (pearl harbor) and the file size is currently 2.8gb i want to cut this down to 4 differnt files obviously because i want to fit the four files on cds. so does anyone know of any good software which i could use to cut this file up?

    Depends on the format. I recommend VirtualDub if it is an AVI. If you are talking about a MPEG I do not recommend anything, but if you want to edit a MPEG by all means, use M2Edit Pro.

    its a mpeg 2 svcd file i am using what makes it more diffcult to edit the mpeg rather than the avi? or is it you dont know any software to edit the mpeg? and is there anything wrong with m2edit pro?

    Editing a MPEG might be more difficult. Make sure, the editor cuts before an I-frame otherwise you may end with sync problems.
