I am working on a video for my granddaughter's graduation video, no music, just imported still photos in jpg, and they want to just plug a flash drive into their HD tv and play the video. How do I go about doing this with out using a computer, DVD player, etc?

First, I spent 25 plus years in IT, meaning Novel, MS Server, Cisco Voice, Data and Wireless certified but that was 10 years ago, since I've spent any time doing it. I have some good background in web development as well, and still maintain several sites for fun.

I've worked with some codex stuff, but like I said that was 10 years since I was smart.

What I'm trying to say, I'm smart enough with some help and ideas to do this, just never spent much time on video. I was working on the Cisco video part, when I lost my job. FYI.

So any help is really appreciated.

    Thanks Wisrider

Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 can convert a .ppt slideshow into a .wmv video. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/powerpoint-help/turn-your-presentation-into-a-video-...010336763.aspx Some versions of Windows Movie Maker can create a .wmv video from still pictures. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/import-video-files-pictures-and-audio...ws-movie-maker

However, a TV's integrated media player may not play all possible .wmv files, or any .wmv files at all. If there are any limitations on what the TV will play, you need to know what they are, especially if the TV is not available for test purposes. The TV's manual should have a list of requirements for media files.
