    Hello

I have been having a play with the Sound Forge Audio Studio software. When i come to play back the recordings i have made there is no sound. I have no problems playing other audio or video files on on my desktop the sound comes through my headphones.

I also noticed this when i tried Total Recorder sound recording program.

    Can anyone please advise?

    Thanks

  2. Try MediaInfo to make sure there is data in the file. It will identify the codec (if there is one)....make sure you have it installed.

Are you actually saving them? Are they being saved as midi files or something like that?

I`d suggest opening the sound mixer on the bottom right hand corner of screen (obviously openable from Control Panel as well) , it sounds like you have the sound level for Sound Forge either turned off or at zero . Either that , or as transporterfan suggests you have codec problems .

    Thanks for replies.

Yes, to saving files. Sound level is fine. I shall try the codec.

    Thanks again

Wouldn't have expected you to need a codec for an audio file. What format is it saved in?

    What does the manual say?
(They are usually very clear about correctly setting up that sort of thing )
