    A client just supplied me with a mini DV tape of interviews she wants me to edit. My mini DV player doesn't show any video on the tape...however, she assures me there is video on there - she captured it in HDV. How do I capture the HDV from the mini DV in my MacPro?

    you can't with a DV player. you need an HDV cam or HDV deck.
