    There is a firmware update for the Samsung BD-C5500 player. The last upgrade over a year ago made it possible to play 1920x1080 60P AVCHD2 BD disc's.

    Any idea what the new one will do?

    BSP-C5500WWB-1028.0

    Any thoughts?

    My money says it enforces Cinavia compliance. You may not want that.

    The 1028.0 update breaks using LAN as a device so you can not connect to your SHARED FOLDERS on a PC.
    This feature was part of why I bought this player. DO NOT UPGRADE to v 1028.0 !
