    Hi,
    I have installed VideoStudio X5 on a home desktop running Windows 7 Home Premium x64 with italian as default language.

    During setup of VS X5 I selected italian but at the end when I run the prog I discovered that it was installed in a mixture of italian/english language (e.g. the 4 Menu headings in the Project screen are written in italian while the underlying topics are all listed in english; and so other topics and functions).

    I contacted Corel support but they were of no help. They only suggested to check that setting of : “Current language for non Unicode programs” was settled into italian language.
    I tried other ways to install the program and I noticed that:
    1. if I install VideoStudio X5 on an other pc running Windows 7 x32, the installation concludes with the program fully in italian;
    2. if I install VideoStudio X3 on my pc with Win 7 x64, here again the installation concludes with the program fully in italian.
    I would like to have VS X5 in italian on my pc with Win 7 x64. Any advice?

    Un-install the program. Delete all the temporary folders that Corel use. Clear all registry settings.

    You mention X3. Un-install that as well as above.

    Re-install X5

    If that does not work, post a topic on Corel's own user forum.

    DB83, many thanks for your prompt reply.
    i did what you are suggesting and i did it more than once to no avail - i did more than that: I created a previous image of partition C:\ by Acronis TI, then formatted the partition and installed a fresh Windows 7 x64 with nothing else but the OS, then installed VideoStudio X5 - and there again at the end there was the known mixture of italian/english . What a strange version for this app: X3 works properly and X5 doesn't unless i revert to Win 7 32bit.
    I contacted many times Corel support and user forum for a matter that i consider an unusual bug. Received one single reply to my messages then silence.
    Anyway, i like the prog and if i have to use in esperanto so be it.
    Ciao.

    The chances are that someone screwed up when creating the language support files.

    I would not use esperanto though. Just stick to the Queen's English
