Are there any x64 besed OPENCL supported x264 encoders?

Are there any x64 based OPENCL supported x264 encoders?

Where can I download them?

I found this in a post at doom9's x264 OpenCL thread: http://tmod.nmm-hd.org/x264/test/. I do not know if any of the builds on that page include a 64-bit version. As far as I can tell, OpenCL support is still a work in progress, and you use these builds at your own risk

opencl is merged into the main branch since r2286 .

All x264 builds have it now, to enable it use --opencl . Quality is slightly lower, speed is slightly faster (only the lookahead thread is using open cl)

If you're using a GUI, it just needs an update to r2286 or newer

i was under the impression that the OCL patch worked with all gpu's, discrete and integrated, including intel's HD gpu's found on SB/IB, yet for some reason i can't get it to work with my 3770k, it crashes every time no matter what gui i try it with.

You should ask the dev's... or post on IRC or at doom9.... oh wait.... .

So how is the view from the "penalty box"? Do you get access to view, or just restricted to not posting, or is everything blocked off ? (Of course you could probably use a proxy...)


But seriously, it should work, probably a driver issue

Are you using AMD card ? There were some driver related issues reported IIRC

ocl patch? i thought the patch was only for macs? i can't try it as i have a vid card and that turns off the intel gpu in my i7.

Here is the fine print from the changelog

Most modern discrete GPUs and all AMD
integrated GPUs will work. Intel integrated GPUs (up to IvyBridge) do not
support those necessary features.

But the wording isn't clear to me if it includes or excludes IB ?

so is it supposed to work on a sandy bridge i7? afaik the gtx570 in the box turns off the i7 gpu. and the opencl encoder just crashes if tried here so it isn't working with the nvidia 570. cuda works.

as far as i know i'm not banned from doom9, i've banned myself because every time i read a post from his darkness, mulder or a few of the other x264 ass kissers i just want to take a dump while taking a puke, i swear i don't have high blood pressure but reading their idiotic drivel makes it spike to unhealthy levels so i just banned myself.

every once in a while, i suffer a relapse and participate in a thread and i'm quickly reminded of the fact that i just want to ddos doom9 into the stone age.

however the "fine print" you posted does, at least to me, seem to indicate that it would not work with SB/IB (i read "up to" to mean "including").
