Is it core that I keep it in? Trying to avoid the encoding process to figure it out.

Just use copy audio if you want to keep it EXACTLY as it is.

Otherwise the dts core will be the standard def audio not the hd dts.

Frankly converting the audio to ac3 at 640kpbs should be more than adequate for most people and save you quite a bit of space at the same time.

The space I don't mind. At least right now. I have plenty of it at the moment and probably won't be filling it up any time soon as I'm no longer adding movies to my server like I used to.

But don't I have to select an audio option before I get to copy? Before I get to there, there is usually a radio button to switch between core, wave and flac

I don't have the latest version installed. ON the older version the video and audio tabs are on the same screen after opening the video file. You simply select copy audio in the drop down selector.

As I said I don't know what the new version is like so it might be layed out slightly differently. It should still have a copy audio option however.

So I just ripped Girl with a Dragon Tattoo. Right before demuxing is a radio button to switch between the wav / flac / core options. After, that it's what you're referring - copy stream

I encoded the movie and receiver / media info is showing DTS

Could it be that Ripbot does not touch the DTS MA track or is this what I should expect for DTS MA

It would appear that Ripbot does not support this. Switching to Staxrip
