    i have a 2009 teac lcdv3255hd tv and desperately need the latest firmware for it any help would be much appreciated

  2. Not sure that TV can be updated with firmware. Did you try the manufacturers website?

    Some TV manufacturers deliberately do not make TV firmware available to consumers. I assume they feel that there is too much risk of the customer botching the upgrade and bricking the TV and they don't want to replace it under warranty if that happens.

    I suggest that you first find out if applying the firmware yourself will void your warranty. If so, you will need to ask the manufacturer to do it for you - probably you'll have to pay for it. If you do it yourself then you'll need to accept the risks involved.

    If Teac doesn't make it available to consumers then you'll have to search all over the internet to see if you can find someone who's got a copy and can share it with you. Maybe there really and truly is a good reason for you wanting the update, but in my experience most consumers just convince themselves without any justification that they must have the latest and greatest or they are missing out. Honestly, most updates aren't needed.

    thanks guys for the replies and no there really isnt any real need for the upgrade. the tv is on its way out and it was my last solution before the axe goes through the screen but thanks anyway guys
