  1. Could anyone please suggest a good tool to exact audio from mp4 videos? One that preferably can allow me to chose MP3 and bitrate of said MP3's?

  2. I use this one: Free Video to Audio converter. I think I found it on C/net but you can google it. It will do MP3 but I don't know if it will allow adjustment of bitrates. Sometimes the quality of the conversion doesn't seem to up to par but that could be a problem with the source file. Sometimes I get a really good conversion while other times the resulting sound seems a little distorted.

    Free version. Perfect every time.

Pazera can get those occasional formats others can't interpret.

  4. I use MPEG Streamclip on my Mac. Has many options for file type, and does much more, and is simple to use.

  5. MediaCoder. Untick Enable on the video tab and select codec/settings on the audio tab.

  6. Audacity with the ffmpeg source plugin can read the audio from almost any video file then export in whatever audio format you want (AAC, AC3, MP2, MP3, flac, WAV, etc.). And, of course, MP4Muxer can demux the audio in its current format (probably AAC).
