Hi guys ... I have an MKV file which has a DTS audio track in it .. The MKV also has a 1280x720 video track, and an SRT subtitle track. I'm trying to convert this MKV to MP4 using MkvToMP4 0.223, but when the conversion is done, the resulting MP4 file does not have any audio track in it ..

If however I tell MkvToMP4 to convert DTS to AC3, then the AC3 track is present upon completion ..

Can I not have the original DTS track in the resulting MP4 file ?

    In theory: Yes (http://www.mp4ra.org/codecs.html)
In praxis, dts&co support inside the mp4 container is relatively new (2010), so:
    a. only a few multiplexers like l-smash (https://code.google.com/p/l-smash/) support muxing of dts into mp4
mp4box which is used by MkvToMp4 does not afaik, so you best option is probably to ask the author of MkvToMp4 to support multiplexing mp4 using l-smash.
    b. only a few hardware player support dts inside mp4 (not sure about software players atm.)
