    Chroma distubance might be because of mod4 rules for height with interlaced video. If you IVTC then crop, mod2 is ok . Maybe some of the values you used earlier violated that.

    If that's the case, even adding a few pixels for borders to satisfy crop restrictions (instead of the adding same values back), will make processing go much faster with MCTD and various slow filters
