I'm using virtualdub to capture some old VHS tapes - I run the videos from my VCR and then convert it to digital signal through an ADVC110.
A couple of years ago when I started doing it, I ran into a problem: video is interlaced in overlay mode. In preview mode none of the preview accelerations can't be accessed (vdub cannot display incoming video as it is in an unsupported format) ... Captured files are OK though, they are all deinterlaced, but the interlaced overlay is annoying, especially if you want to sit and watch the captured videos, noting down time codes fore specific events....
I remember googling a solution which helped, and the result was that both overlay and preview were deinterlaced...
BUT... I recently had to reinstall windows, and with them every software I use, including virtualdub. So I'm facing the same broblem with interlaced overlay, but I have forgotten the right solution....
Million thanks in advance for any help!
