  1. Hello,
I am searching for a software to create DVDs with more than one subtitles from srt-files that should be selectable in the final DVD. The source material is mkv 720p. I´m on Mac OS 10.8 iMac i3.

Hope that someone can help me. I already trued xilisoft and wondershare, but they onlay support one subtitle. I don't know wheather DVD Studio Pro can work with mkv-Files, it is also very complicated to handle.

You could try the free dvd styler.

It's not as simple as xilisoft and wondershare but it should support multiple subs and srt subs.

Does anyone know of a DVD authoring program that enables one to create a subtitle menu with multiple subtitle options? For example, I would like to author a DVD with a language menu from which one can select English, German, French, Russian, Spanish, Italian, etc. This is a basic feature of most commercial DVDs, and yet I have had almost no luck finding a DVD authoring program capable of doing this. The two that I have found are each lacking in one aspect or another, e.g. ConvertXtoDVD has no additional features such as image filters, audio options, etc. (which would be very useful) nor is it possible with this software to add an MPEG or VOB file without re-encoding, which degrades the quality. Also, this program doesn't seem able to handle Cyrillic characters. The other option that I found is Cyberlink PowerDirector, but that program, apart from being needlessly and frustratingly complicated, does not allow for more than one subtitle option.

I just downloaded DVDStyler, but so far I don't whether or not it enables one to create subtitle menu. I was pleased to read, however, that it allows for "streaming" MPEG and VOB without the need to re-encode.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    THANKS!

Incidentally, I use a PC; so perhaps this is the wrong thread!
