You just have to encode and author the correct format (avchd) and burn the image. Maybe you ran into this issue: I did notice in dvd architect it won't let you burn blu-ray without a "blu-ray" disc (not matter the size of the project). This is misleading, because blu-ray players can play "blu-ray" even if it on "dvd" sized disk.

Isn't that equally off topic since it isn't a solution that allows the OP to continue to use his current drive? Not to mention your little rant about how optical media is dead.I see that you just get away with being a jerk, and that's the fault of this forum's management.
