  1. i have two ongoing issues o with tv tuner card one is an older ati theater pro the other is a slightly newer hauppauge tuner car both work well how every so often both cards will loose the ability to render video signal i read some where that this might be related to a codec the second issue is with the hauppauge any analogue video signal weather it originates from cable or composite input the signal becomes very jumpy how ever digital signals from cable are very stable

    Welcome to the forum.

Sorry to say, there's not enough information to give a suitable reply. What part of the world do tou live in (NTSC? PAL?). WHo is your cable provider (SD box? HD box? satellite? antenna included?). Are you just watching input sources or capturing, and how? Are the analog sources retail tape, home mades, DV? How are you playing the sources (VCR, camera, DVD/combo?). "ATI Theater Pro" and "newer Hauppauge" could mean any number of different models.

  3. the cards have worked in the past and do work now, it is just recently that the happauge started jittering on the analog signal ,whether it is cable or the composite. breifly i switch the composite signal source from cable to sat. out that work long enough but then started up again. i have no rf out on the sat receiver to see if the issue is there as well.but with cable the higher digtal station are just fine basically, all i use the tv tuners for is to copy off video so i can edit out the commercials . if happugae responded to emails i would contact them. i can work around the jittery signal i have a third video card i can try out how ever them on going issue is why at time i will lose the ability to render video signal no matter what capture software i try i read about corrupt codecs i could be a bad driver but the cards are seen but the software there are no system error messages just a blank screen my system video card still work

    You have just repeated yourself.

You could get much more help if you actually answered the questions that were asked.
