  1. Hey there!

I tried to convert one of my BDs into mkv format using megui. Everything seemed to go fine but when I play the video in MPC-HC and try to seek, the "Playing" status changes to "Buffering (*%)" and depending on the file size it can take extremely long. This doesn't happen with similar sized mkv files that weren't encoded by me. I wonder what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

I attached a log file where I encoded a trimmed version with the same settings.

  2. And what is avisynth script D:\00000.avs, are you using ffmpeg source? Fpsnom, fpsden maybe, seekmode, because mkv shows VFR, at the bottom of your log, not sure if this is normal. This is shot in the dark I have no idea how this works 100%, would have to check with manual, just what got my attention.

  3. I don't think so. I just selected AVS script creator in megui itself, loaded my m2ts source to file indexer, used DGAVCIndex with no audio, it created a dga file and that's it.

  4. So you used DGAVCIndex, ok, mediainfo shows VFR for video(variable frame rate) also?

  5. I don't know what setting could cause it. I don't remember touching anything framerate related to change it from constant. If I did, they should be in the logs, shouldn't they?

  6. Thanks for the replies. It seems like the cue entries were missing from the file for some reason. Simply running it through mkvmerge automatically solves it, no command lines needed. It also seems like the VBR thing is a mediainfo bug and it is actually CBR but reported incorrectly.
