Im kind of going crazy here. Ive read many posts, forums, tutorials, and still can figure it out.
I need to shoot a video with a Sony HXR-NX30u that will be played on DVD and the internet. And a second video that will be played on a large screen via projector. Which setting would you recoomend? Progresive? Interlaced? Resolution? Frame rate?
This are the options my camera has:
PS (HD): 1920 x 1080/60p (28 Mbps / 16:9)
FX(HD): 1920 x 1080/60i (24 Mbps / 16:9)
FX(HD): 1920 x 1080/30p (24 Mbps / 16:9)
FX(HD): 1280 x 720/60p (24 Mbps / 16:9)
FH(HD): 1920 x 1080/60i (17 Mbps / 16:9)
FH(HD): 1920 x 1080/30p (17 Mbps / 16:9)
FH(HD): 1280 x 720/60p (17 Mbps / 16:9)
HQ(HD): 1440 x 1080/60i (9 Mbps / 16:9)
LP(HD): 1440 x 1080/60i (5 Mbps / 16:9)
SD: 720 x 576/60i (9 Mbps / 16:9)
SD: 720 x 576/60i (9 Mbps / 4:3)
This Sony is:HD:
MPEG4-AVC / H.264 AVCHD (version 2.0 compatible)
STD: MPEG-2 PS
What would you choose for this shoots? I will edit in FCP X.
I already shot one video for a 3rd company, using 1440x1080/60i, and I like the image looks when the camera is on a tripod and relatively still, but when I do a kind of fast pan or a Zoom, the image looks ghostly, as if a bit out of focus or blurry as its moving. Any way to fix this? What is causing it?
Should I convert, transcode, rewrap video before importing to FCP X or not? What is the difference?
If I imported 1440x1080/60i, can I create the project in FCP X with different settings? change it to progresive and change the frame rate, what consequences will it have?
Many thanks for any help and light on this! As you can see im pretty new at this.

Sd 720x576 is pal and should be 25i. So is it a pal cam or ntsc, as the rest 30 and 60 are ntsc. Hard to say, is the projector hd? If so what res? Usually video is shot at best quality and rendered to needed specs.

I think the camera has different settings, some Pal some NTSC. The projector is HD, yes. It will be projected on a large screen ate an event. But they will use the video afterwards in the factory on tv monitors. Dont have the res.

shoot the highest quality it can, ps, then render to specific types for each output desired. you'll need to know what the projector can handle to encode a video for it.
but make sure to do a practice run before hand to make sure you know how and everything you create works.--
