I downloaded Blade II from Kazaa, and I noticed that all the files are named funny...
Bladeii.ts.(1of2).avi
Bladeii.[tmx].ts.(1of2).avi
and the DivX player wont reconize it!
Im using TMPGE to try to convert it, but it says that it is compressed using a codec not available on my computer.
I downloaded the most recent DivX, and still it wont reconize it, and neither does my Nero software.
Where do I go now ?

If you have the latest divx codec, then the files that you have are most likely not DivX encoded files. They could be nAVI smr encoded files. You can download the SMR codec here.
http://www.divx-digest.tv/software/codec/smrpatchsetup.zip
Also, i think that you downloaded two files that were released by different groups, so that they may not be in synch with each other. Like, one may end at 30 minutes into the movie, and the second file will be starting at 40 min. into the movie. -
Could be using the SMR codec or the 3ivX codec. They use the same avi file extensions.
Hope this was helpful. -
Remember that some smart @sses post fake movies on kazaa... I downloaded the first part of Panic Room, 220mb, and when I played it, it was just 1 hour of a black 100x300 resolution video... no picture whatsoever. Perhaps you got a B.S. file... which is highly likely, considering blade 2 has only been out for a week, and kazaa is usually a little longer to hop on the bandwagon...

Fake/incomplete/shitty re-encodes are what fills the harddrives of people that use P2P programs. AVIs are NOT VCDs, and re-encoding VCDs to DivX/SmR is lame and results in massive quality loss. THe best thing to get are VCDs/SVCDs from Topsites, but if you can't get access to topsites, at least try to get regular VCDs from IRC or something, P2P programs are just lame in their function with so much bullshit, it's not worth it.
P2P programs are the lowest of the low, that is all there is to say, though IRC is technically P2P, peopel on there seem to know what they are doing and if you can't get topsite access, IRC is your best bet for getting true releases fromt he VCD/SVCD release groups.
