  4. does it allow you to check the VFAPI plug-in? do u see a check appear to the left of it?

if you can't check it...it means u don't have it installed....it's been awhile since i've had to deal with that..so i'm sure someone else here will give u details to fix it

  5. toymachines, get: TMPGEnc / TMGPEnc VFP Plugin / DVD2AVI complete zip!
Then unzip ALL 3 of them into the same location! (SAME!), then run the TMPGEncVFP batch file, and this will register the DLL's into the system, and then try to open up your D2V files.

PS: if the above process doesn't work, DELETE your entire TMPGEnc folder, and try again!

  8. Check the links in the Classical Guide, you will find the complete package of DVD2AVI which includes the VFP, you can also check out Doom9, it has a new version with new options (already covered in the upcoming v2.0 of the full guide).

I had exactly the same problem. All i did was downloaded the newest vrsion of TMPGenc from the offical site. Once i did this, the .d2v file was recognised first time.
Why say hello when you can say goodbye?
