Hello and greetings from Colombia. After successfully burning several DVDs with DARK SHADOWS chapters including beautiful menus etc. I suddenly found myself with a problem that I haven't been able to solve. Please check the attached screen print and kindly let me know what I can do. Now, the DARK SHADOWS chapters that I'm trying to burn this time are all perfect, they have excellent video and sound. I hope you can help me because DARK SHADOWS has 1225 episodes to be burned in 131 DVDs!!!!

What is your video source file mkv/mp4 h264? It might be corrupt.
See https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/350998-ts-File-conversion-to-DVD-problem-with-timel...=1#post2202673 Same "Cannot infer PTS" problem.
Or try convert to dvd mpeg2 files with another software like avstodvd and then import the mpeg2 files in dvdstyler and make your dvd menus. -
Thanks for your information. I checked with the other guy who has the same problem. Unfortunately, I am not an expert in technology or software so I understood little. What do you mean by video source file mkv/mp4 h264?? I did burn the same files, no modifications, using Video2DVD softwarel. Success!! However, I don't like this software because it is not as flexible as the DVDstyler which has beautiful menus etc.
If you can help me as clearly as possible and using the less you can technical words, etc. I will be forever grateful.Last edited by Edubarca; 18th Mar 2013 at 07:43.

I have just downloaded the avstodvd and I just didn't understand how to use it. It is not very user friendly so I'll try to convert the files using another software. We ordinary people just do not have much knowledge on complicated terms for using some software which are undoubtedly designed for engineers or experts. Could you recommend me a simpler and more user-friendly software? Thanks and sorry for so much bothering!!!!

I converted the Dark Shadows from MP4 to AVI. I did burn the DVD with all menus etc. However, upon playing it, I saw that the image quality was very, very low indeed. I'm still more puzzled!!!!! I also eliminated some of the 10 files that I wanted to burn. I tried to burn initially four, then 1. The problem persists!!

Problem solved!!! After lots of desperation, I decided to uninstall and re install the software. It worked!!! What could have happened? Will it happen again?

Digital video is very hardware dependent. It's not really possible to explain things in non technical language completely. You just can't abstract it that much.
DVD encoders/authors are a pain in the butt in general. I've never tried one I really thought was all that great as software goes. But avstodvd is as good as it gets. -
