I just had a look out of curiosity. There is no linux version of roxio vhs to dvd. Just windows and mac.

Ideally you still have a windows partition on your machine. Otherwise you'll have to run it in a virtual machine using wine or something like virtualbox. Remember that if you run it virtualized you can't expect to get tech support from roxio.

You aren't likely to get step by step instruction here. Do a search on wine. There are lists of windows programs tested on it. Some programs work fine, others terribly or not at all. I have virtualbox installed but haven't used it yet.

I think your best bet if you have no windows partition would be to find a linux solution. I don't know of any linux capture tools but I'm sure they exist.

Have you tried fedora tech support or forums? I was under the impression fedora tech support wasn't free. I use ubuntu and mint, which is ubuntu based. It's different from fedora/redhat and I don't know that much about it.

Return the roxio whatever if possible. That software is not a liinux program. I hate to say this but if you couldn't even install wine configuring this sort of thing is going to be a problem.

Join the fedora forums and ask what programs and capture hardware they may have got to work.
