Yeah that headline had me laughing. Obviously they never looked up the big red blunder from the 90s or whenever that was.

I like it that at the end of the article they call the ps3 and xbox 360 "previous generation" as if the WII U is the "current generation".

The WII U barely compares to the ps3 and xbox 360 as it stands. It can hardly be called a tech powerhouse like the ps3 was when it first came out.

  2. Right, interestingly I had a thought about this during Christmas. I was buying Wii (would never buy Sony)and and I got standard Wii for $140 or so , I saw the prize for that U model, check with youtube what I could get more as oppose to that basic Wii , I could see some maps aps ,or something else, something I did not need and I bought Wii as a entry game station for kids. The prize for U was outrages. Standard definition , doesn't matter, kids play Sonic Colors and that is the Universe experience for them. Buying U version would be waste of money. Standard Wii has Netflix too (extra usb-Lan adapter needed). To play something on small screen there is a tablet for it, tons of aps. How do you play a game in your hands having 10 buttons on it at the same time (U version)? You just need some platform where you use two thumbs. I had no problem to pick standard Wii version not even thinking I'd miss something.

The only time it comes into play is when they stop making games for the Wii and make them only for the Wii U.

But if this is an entry level machine then you have the whole Wii library to go through before you exhaust it. So that shouldn't be a problem.

  4. Finally, a reason to buy a Wii U:

Although... it'll also be available for Xbox 360 and PS3. XD
