    Hello I am trying to run a home built nas media video mainly server . My main problem is all my tv`s have hdmi inputs and i ran cat5e to them, now I need to convert to hdmi at the receiver. I was wondering if any one knows if the 2 wall plate setup can be used as my converter singley

    cat5 and most nas boxes will mean you will be sending the files over the network, not video. what you need at each tv is a cheap blu-ray player that is dlna capable to plug the cat5 into and play the videos.

    My LG 3DTV has RJ45 connector & DLNA client built-in, so I can stream from my mediaserver over my LAN (wired, don't want to take any chances or slow things down even a bit) straight to my TV. Lots of new "SmartTV"s work that way. No need for a BD player strictly for that use.

    If the OP -ONLY- has HDMI, then aedipuss's suggestion (or that of using a DLNA/net-aware general media player box) would be the way to go...
