Hello all,
Newbie here.
Since I started using Windows 7, Subtitle Workshop (used it for years with XP Pro SP3) doesn't obey things like {\a6} (this places text bottom-centre) or things like "normal text <i>italic text</i> normal text. The whole line gets italicised instead of a couple of words. Does anyone know a solution for this? Both "No interaction with style tags" and "Work with style tags" are checked.
Thanks in advance!
Barbara

I've had the same problem.
I haven't found the solution.
It is clearly stated in the help file of SW, that italic tags would be applied to entire line, unless you manually edit it just like in your example: normal text <i>italic text</i> normal text
SW is still good for many things, but it's a bit obsolete for advanced user. There are newer and updated subtitle tools that you should try out. -
Hello Jeremia,
Thanks for your answer. Which other subtitle tools are you referring to? -
I'm referring to this one: https://www.videohelp.com/tools/Subtitle-Edit
This has just been added to the site: https://www.videohelp.com/tools/AHD-Subtitles-Maker-
I've only tried it, but it sure looks very promising.
