  1. I have a problem playing some flv files
    files that won't open in MPC-HC. All other media players open them, e.g. Windows Media Player, VLC and Media Player Classic

    Didn't it work with vlc,wmp,mpc?

    But try disable the built-in flv decoder in mpc-hc and see if it works better. I can't remember the exact settings right now.

  4. Easier to convert it to AVI and play it that way. Pazera has an audio extractor tool too.

    You could try demuxing with FLV Extract , converting the audio to wav and remux to another format.
    A TS file maybe with TsMuxer. Hard to tell without a sample.

  5. Try opening the FLV files with MKVMergeGUI to remux them as MKVs (no re-encoding) and see what happens. Or under Source Filters/Internal Filters, try disabling FLV and restarting MPC-HC.
