    When I convert a video clip MOV to AVI (about 20 secs worth or bigger) with Qicktime 5.0... Quicktime hangs at the end and won't complete the conversion. It does alright with smaller clips but the larger ones it seems to have a problem with. what could be the problem? Or what other program can I use to to convert from MOV to AVI ? ?

    I assume you are exporting the whole AVI as a system. I would suggest exporting the audio and video seperately if you plan to convert to MPG. If not then I would suggest looking at getting Quicktime PRO if you do a lot of MOV to AVI.
