  1. Okay, If you downloaded something in MPEG format, could you just skip all the steps on making VCD to just burn it and watch it, when its on MPEG?

  2. most often you can just burn the MPEG straight to VCD without converting anything (my experience anyhow) you can use Nero to burn VCDs. If for some reason Nero says it is not a compliant VCD format, then you can re-encode the file using the 'MPEG Tools' option in TMPGe, which can take anywhere from 5-10. After re-encoding, you should be ready to burn the disc!

    You have to make sure that the MPEG video that you have downloaded,
    follows the standards for making a VCD
    I'm using EZCD5 for most of mine VCDs and that will tell you right away if the format is OK.
