  1. I am a newbie to backing up DVDs, but have been successful up to now using DVDFab on my Mac OS 10.6.8 iMac. However, I've now been trying to back up a couple of multipart/episode DVDs I recently bought, with no luck at all. The first part/episode gets converted fine, but nothing I do seems to get the second (or subsequent) parts to do so. I can't find any settings on the program to change. Help! Is there another piece of software I should be using...or doing something different? Any help much appreciated!

  2. Post in the Mac forum. The answer's easy for a PC but only a few know Macs around here (and I'm not one of them).

So you are using dvdfab to both rip and convert? Are you selecting all episodes in dvdfab and it just converts one?

You could just rip to a dvd folder on your hdd with dvdfab and then convert it to a mp4/mkv with handbrake.

  4. Thanks for your response. I am using DVD Fab to rip (actually their free version of HDDecrypter), then Handbrake to convert. With this, only the chapters in Episode/part 1 appear in the file that I then convert with Handbrake. Any ideas?

No. Please don't cross post. I'm moving you to our mac section.

Are you selecting the dvd folder in handbrake when opening? And you can ONLY select one title?

  7. Sorry...just picking this up now, and I had already posted my question to the Mac forum.

And, I am selecting the DVD folder in Handbrake, and it seems to only contain the first episode (7 chapters).
