  1. Sometimes videos our out of synch when I convert with AVI demux. I would like to convert a .mkv to a .avi file so it can work on a DVD player. I've tried using .avi(s) downloaded from the internet and they worked fine in a DVD player, but not the converted ones in Any Video Converter. Will AVidexmux convert .mkv videos to .avi and work on a DVD player?

Also, how would I go about converting .mkv to .avi in Avidemux?

You must convert to avi with divx or xvid video, mp3 audio and with max a frame size/resolution around 720x756 pixels.

DId you use those settings in anyvideo converter?

Avidemux might not be best converter for mkv to avi. I would try video to video converter, load the mkv, choose the avi preset, check the video settings. Convert.

No, I didn't use those setting is any video converter. Is video to video any better any video converter? Why is avidemux not good for .mkv to .avi? Would .mp4 to .avi work better?

Because you got audio sync problems....

You must use such settings if you want it to play on dvd players with normal avi divx/xvid support.

  5. Will video to video converter allow me to embed an .srt file to a .avi? I know it's possible in Avidemux.

  6. Never mind, I found the option. Thanks. Video to Video is much better than almost any other converter I've tried.
