    Hello there!

    I'm trying to use eac3to, and the "thing" about eac3to it's not modify the source with DRC or normalization, etc... In my case, downconverting to 2 channels, the output will have no DRC...

    AFAIK... DRC in apps and hardware was used only in multi-channels sources... it's correct? Or drc is used in all kind of sources? AC3, mp3, flac, 2 channels?

    My problem is... my AV system is simple.. a dvd player with divx... a stereo tv. And I fight a lot with the sound... explosions, gunshots, almost blowing the tv speakers... and in dialogues... too quiet... so hardware drc not doing a good job... so I have to force drc in my mp3s...

    I always used besweet (to convert AC3s to WAV, then mp3) with drc light, started to use normal, and sometimes I have to use the "heavy" option...

    In this case its better to stick with besweet or "go pro" with eac3to? All this started because I'm using some DTS-HD sources....

    Please read this guide on the how, what, why and when regarding DRC and dialnorm. http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=56020

    I think you'll want to use Eac3to if you're doing DTS-HD MA 5.1 -> 2.0 AC3.
